Soft pull vs hard pull (सॉफ्ट पुल बनाम हार्ड पुल)
A soft pull is a credit check that is not visible to other lenders and has zero impact on your score, used for pre-qualified offers and self-checks. A hard pull happens when you formally apply, is visible to all lenders, and can reduce your score slightly, especially if repeated.
Worked example
Comparing offers on a marketplace uses a soft pull — CIBIL pe zero impact. Clicking "Apply" with a specific lender triggers a hard pull, so do that only for the one or two offers you actually want.
