Tenure (ऋण अवधि)
Tenure is the total time you get to repay a loan, from disbursal to the final payment. Short-term personal loans in India typically run from a few days to 12 months, and tenure directly drives your instalment size and total interest.
Worked example
₹30,000 at 2% per month (reducing): a 3-month tenure means EMI ≈ ₹10,402 and total repayment ≈ ₹31,207, while a 6-month tenure means EMI ≈ ₹5,356 but total repayment rises to ≈ ₹32,135. Longer tenure = smaller EMI, bigger total cost.
